What I don't understand is why she does not simply get a divorce now that Peter is the DA. By having her affair with will she is exposing her family to another scandal.

The Good Wife is back and she's bad
The Good Wife season 3 premiered. And what can I say, I have been a big fan of this show that seemed to be flirting with cancellation last season. Alicia Florrick was the Good Wife, faithful to her husband in spite of his infidelities, in spite of her burning desire to be with her boss Will Gardner but *spoiler alert* Alicia is not the Good Wife anymore and that's why I have a hard time warming up to her. I find myself rooting for the prosecution. I want Peter to win, maybe nobody deserves redemption and there is probably nothing Peter could have done to earn or deserve to be forgiven be Alicia but she needs to be honest with herself and admit that she did not leave Peter because he slept with Kalinda but because she needed to justify her affair with Will.
